Pierre Morel will be seeing SIGNALS
Pierre Morel directed the action thriller TAKEN, starring Liam Neeson, in which a father tries to find his kidnapped daughter, and the upcoming FROM PARIS WITH LOVE starring John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, about an FBI agent and a United States ambassador employee trying to prevent a terrorist attack in Paris. It’s clear Morel likes the action thrillers, and it is not shocking he has just signed up for another one. Morel will direct SIGNALS; the film’s plot has not been revealed yet, “but is expected to take on the tone of a 1970s-era paranoid thriller like THREE DAYS OF CONDOR.”
Unlike Morel’s previous films DISTRICT 13, TAKEN, and FROM PARIS WITH LOVE, SIGNALS does not feature either a script worked on or a story created by action master Luc Besson. Besson co-wrote the screenplays for DISTRICT 13 and TAKEN, and came up with the story for FROM PARIS WITH LOVE.
Morel is also attached to direct the based on real life events thriller PURSUIT. Like I said, the guy likes action thrillers.
