Pine to be the next Jack Ryan?
News came out very recently that Chris Pine is in talks to star in THE ART OF MAKING MONEY, a based on a true story drama about a man who becomes a great counterfeiter. Well, there is already more Pine related news to report, but it has nothing to do with THE ART OF MAKING MONEY.
According to Variety, Chris Pine has started negotiations with Paramount Pictures to be the next Jack Ryan – the popular Tom Clancy character that has been previously incarnated on the big screen by Alec Baldwin in THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, Harrison Ford in PATRIOT GAMES and CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER, and most recently by Ben Affleck in THE SUM OF ALL FEARS.
I must say Pine does seem like a nice fit for Jack Ryan. He’s charismatic, confident, and not Ben Affleck – three critical elements we have learned for making a good Jack Ryan.
How do you feel about Pine possibly being the next Jack Ryan?
