Poster for BAD LIEUTENANT: PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS
There is already a lot wrong with Werner Herzog’s BAD LIEUTENANT remake/reboot/sequel, starring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes. First, the title (PORT OF CALL NEW ORLEANS!). Every single time I see it, I can’t help but think it’s for a straight-to-DVD sequel. It’s just so…unnecessary. Then, of course, the obvious question – who asked for this remake? Did that sniper’s bullet actually hit Herzog’s brain, not his belly? But this poster is giving me hope.
Look how angry Cage is! He is ready to blow the lid off this motha! Even the absence of his insane forehead and constantly scrutinized hairline does not detract from the poster. Unfortunately, the bottom of the poster looks a little messy – is part of this film taking place at a drag race? Wait, if there is a drag race, will Cage be there to mess up some criminals? Okay, I’m there.
