PSA: Hollywood takes on health insurance
Have you ever thrown a huge party? The next morning you wake up to find that there's glass on the floor, vomit in the sink and all your friends have run off, leaving you to clean up the mess. That's how this whole health care debate feels to me. Everyone was happy to join the party during the elections last year, but now that there's hard work to do, many of the president's supporters are nowhere to be found!
Finally, Hollywood seems to be getting into the game, in much the same way that they did last year. During the 2008 election, we had some hilarious celebrity videos, such the "Don't Vote" video, which featured Spielberg, Will Smith, and others. This time, Will Ferrell is taking on health care reform.
I'm not sure if the video is as funny as some of the stuff we saw last year, but it's still entertaining. It's sponsored by the famous site Moveon.org, which has an obvious liberal agenda and so does the video. It's good to see more high-profile people getting politically involved again, I just hope it's not too late.
