Rashida Jones joins THE SOCIAL NETWORK
Adding to what has already proven to be quite a big year for Rashida Jones, it has just been announced that she is the newest addition to the cast of “the Facebook movie,” THE SOCIAL NETWORK. There is no word on what character she will be playing.
The film is currently shooting in Los Angeles and we already have some pics of stars Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg on the set HERE.
Directed by David Fincher, THE SOCIAL NETWORK stars Jesse Eisenberg as Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, Andrew Garfield as the other co-founder Eduardo Saverin, and Justin Timberlake as Napster founder Sean Parker. The film tells the story of the founding of the popular social networking website, Facebook.
Jones recently wrapped production on the drama MONOGAMY, in which she co-stars with Chris Messina. She also recently sold her script FRENEMY OF THE STATE, based on her comic book of the same name. The film was co-written with Will McCormack, with whom she also co-wrote the screenplay CELESTE AND JESSE FOREVER , a comedy which is also currently in development. Jones is confirmed to star in CELESTE AND JESSE FOREVER.
THE SOCIAL NETWORK is due out in October of 2010.
