Red band trailer for Kevin Smith’s COP OUT
When our fearless leader, Chase Whale, wrote his brief review of the green band COP OUT trailer, he expressed what many of us were thinking – it just wasn’t very funny. By normal standards it wasn’t bad, but this is a Kevin Smith film and expectations are high, especially since this is his first time to direct a movie he hasn’t written.
Finally, with the red band trailer, I’m beginning to see why Kevin Smith picked this script to begin with. Let’s face it, his movies truly shine in their perversion, foul language, and pop culture references and this trailer has it all. It’s far from perfect, but it made me laugh a few times and restored some of my lost faith in the film. It also restored my faith in Tracy Morgan, who wasn’t that funny in the first trailer but steals most of the scenes in this one. Watch it after the jump.
