Robert Zemeckis reveals writers for ROGER RABBIT sequel
Note: This post has been changed after being published.
Several months ago director Robert Zemeckis let it be known that he would like to do a ROGER RABBIT sequel. A big reason for Zemeckis interests in possibly doing a ROGER RABBIT is because of the advancements that have been made in technology, specifically performance-capture technology. So, Zemeckis mentioned that he might like to do a new ROGER RABBIT film, and there’s that.
Well, it looks like there has been some serious progress made on a potential ROGER RABBIT sequel. Zemeckis recently spoke to MTV and told them that he has commissioned the writing of a ROGER RABBIT sequel, and it’s currently being developed by the two men who wrote the original’s screenplay, Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman. The pair also wrote the screenplay for HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS and worked on the screenplay for SHREK THE THIRD.
Fans of ROGER RABBIT have to like the fact that the sequel is being written by the men who wrote the first film, which passed its 20 year anniversary last year. They made greatness once with the cartoon RABBIT, hopefully they can do it again.
