I wasn’t too interested in another retelling of the Robin Hood legend when I first heard of this movie, but ever since I saw the trailer I’ve changed my mind. It looks like Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe will be bringing something new to the story that I hadn’t thought of before: violence. Yeah, PRINCE OF THIEVES had some, but pretty tame by today’s standards.

The film’s UK poster has just hit the web and it seems like it’s inspired by a certain moment towards the end of the trailer, in which Russell Crowe is shooting an arrow while blood is rolling down his forehead, except they took out most of the red stuff. Nothing really special, I would’ve been more impressed if the studio had left in Crowe’s bloody face. Read on for the full poster as well as the official synopsis.
