Second poster for Christopher Nolan’s INCEPTION
INCEPTION’s viral marketing officially began last week, with the revelation of the first teaser poster. It featured Leonardo DiCaprio standing in a flooding city and was discovered via a game on the film’s viral website. The objective is simple, beat the stages and get new clues about the movie, which has been wrapped in secrecy thus far.
Today a new teaser poster was discovered through the game. This time, no characters are shown, only the title of the film spelled out by the buildings of the city. Not exactly a lot of information going on here, except for reinforcing the films apparent themes of cities and mazes. The poster will be followed by a new teaser trailer attached to SHERLOCK HOLMES on Christmas day.
It doesn’t look like the trailer will offer much more information, though. According to Matt Goldberg from Collider, he saw it earlier today and says that “the trailer begins with a voiceover of DiCaprio talking about the power of an idea and then the climax of his voiceover is him saying something like, ‘That’s why I have to steal it.’ Then a bunch of stuff happens and while I can’t tell you what any of it meant, I will say that it looks pretty cool. The moment that stuck in my mind was a city block rolling up like it was a piece of carpet and all the buildings just going along with it.” A bit vague, but it sounds awesome.
