STAR WARS gets a new gangsta rap
Remember the STAR WARS Gangsta Rap video? In the early days of Friendster and Myspace, it was one of the first online viral sensations that I can remember, and for good reason. Between 2003 and 2004, the new STAR WARS films were all the rage and a video of Yoda rapping was the most amazing use of the internet anyone had thought of. Also, there was no YouTube, so funny viral videos weren’t a dime a dozen.
Okay, now that we’re done being nostalgic about life five years ago, the guys at Bent TV have put together a brand new rap called STAR WARS Gangsta Rap: Chronicles. So is it worth the five year wait? You’ll have to be the ultimate judge, but for my money, I’m done with STAR WARS for the moment. The movies, video games, the animated series, the cartoon parodies…I’m burnt out. I don’t think the world needs another rap video, especially since the original and its sequel were so funny. But if you missed the first wave, this new video is a great excuse to join the bandwagon.
