    Stephen Root

The wonderful Stephen Root, who always seems to randomly pop up in a film and then steal the few scenes he is in, has just singed on to two more projects. Root has done a lot of different kinds of projects in his career, including voicing Bill Dauterive in “King of the Hill,” as well as playing roles in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, JUST FRIENDS, OFFICE SPACE, and he even appeared in a few episodes in season one of “True Blood.”

Root’s two new projects are an excellent microcosm of how different his roles can be from another. Root has signed to play the owner of an insurance company in the comedy CEDAR RAPIDS, which also stars Ed Helms, Anne Heche, and John C. Reilly. Root’s other new role is that of a key witness in Robert Redford’s THE CONSPIRATOR, a film about the trial of an alleged conspirator in the assassination of President Lincoln.
