SORORITY ROW isn’t even in theaters yet, but director Stewart Hendler already has an exciting, super hush-hush project on his plate. At this weekend’s SORORITY ROW press junket, Hendler could only divulge that he’s working on a web series with Bryan Singer that’s going to be a sci-fi adventure set in the future, with “a ‘Lost’ vibe.” They’re aiming for around 48 episodes, tallying in at about two to three minutes each, which means this web adventure will clock in around two hours, just like a standard feature film. Hendler couldn’t tell us more about the project, but for those rushing to his IMDb page, he did assure us that it is not the “FLESH + BLOOD” project listed under his projects in development.

For anyone looking for ideas as to Hendler’s stylistic choices, he did share that he looked to 80s classics like the original HALLOWEEN and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET franchises for tonal inspiration for SORORITY ROW, but he also cited CHILDREN OF MEN as one of his favorite films and a possible visual influence. That and some Singer? Sounds like an interesting combination to me.

And for anyone already excited for SORORITY ROW, rest assured, Hendler and writers Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger are “already talking about ideas” for a possible sequel. FRATERNITY ROW, anyone?
