Teaser poster for EAT, PRAY, LOVE
It’s hard to say if this first teaser poster for the upcoming Julia Roberts’ flick, EAT, PRAY, LOVE, is inspired simplicity or utter laziness. Based on Elizabeth Gilbert’s book of the same title, the marketing department for the film has not strayed far from the very recognizable cover art for the memoir. In fact, the teaser is almost the exact same art, but not quite the same picture (obsessives like me will note small changes in the joints of the pasta “a” and a a twist on the end of the pasta “t,” along with additional fringe on the prayer beads, and a completely different flower arrangement that’s much more vibrant).
See the full poster (and original book cover art for comparison) after the jump.

Gilbert’s book was a New York Times Bestseller back in 2006; it tracked her journey around the world following a messy divorce. In the intervening months of her trip, she learned to EAT (Italy), PRAY (India), and LOVE (Indonesia). Cute, right? Roberts will play the film version of Gilbert, along with Billy Crudup as her ex-husband and Javier Bardem as her love interest.
The film hits theaters sometime in summer, 2010.
