THE WOLFMAN will be rated R
Can you imagine a movie about a blood-thirsty werewolf, in which he picks pretty flowers and frolics around instead of ripping people to shreds? Me neither, and luckily we won’t have to.
Universal has officially announced that the final edit of the highly anticipated WOLFMAN will be R-rated. The news comes after months of delays. As you might recall, the movie suffered its first setback when director Mark Romanek stepped away from the project. Joe Johnston stepped in and shot the film in early 2008. Still, the release date kept getting pushed back, in part because of some reshoots, which added more action to the original cut of the movie.
The official R-rating makes me confident that we will in fact see a release on February 12th of next year instead of another date change. Lets just hope it was worth the wait.
