Just a few days ago, we brought you the new poster for THE CRAZIES, which is a remake of a 1973 film by George A. Romero. I’m not much for horror films, I’ll be the first one to admit that, but this trailer definitely got my attention. It’s a lot different from the original 1973 edition, and that’s a good thing. Usually I find older trailers to be too wordy.

As I speculated in my previous CRAZIES post, this remake is definitely a lot darker and I think it’s got potential. Of course, I’ll say that about any movie that uses Michael Andrews’ “Mad World” cover so brilliantly in its trailer.

On the other side of movie spectrum is TOOTH FAIRY, a feel-good family movie starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a man who gets sentenced to serve time as a Tooth Fairy. A pretty straightforward movie with a pretty boring trailer, but there is stuff to get excited about. And by “stuff” I mean “Billy Crystal.” The man has been almost totally absent from the big screen for a few years now and he’s finally back! Sure, it’s no CITY SLICKERS, but I’ll take it. Maybe if the movie is a huge hit, The Academy will ask him to host the Oscars once again! Maybe I’m just dreaming. Check out the trailers below.
