Back in February, Jon tipped us off to the collaboration between Werner Herzog and David Lynch. Well, today we have your first look at the trailer for MY SON, MY SON, WHAT HAVE YE DONE which is directed by Herzog and produced by Lynch.

The film is based on the true story of former University of San Diego student and aspiring actor Mark Yavorsky (portrayed by Michael Shannon), who in the late 70s killed his mother with an antique sword, while acting out the role of Orestes. Check out the trailer and more about this project after the jump!

According to Collider, “The mystery unfolds in a series of flashbacks displaying the psychological destruction of the killer set off by an ill-fated white-water kayaking trip in a distant land.”  Cast includes Michael Shannon, Chloe Sevigny, Willem Dafoe, Brad Dourif, Michael Pena, Udo Kier, and Grace Zabriskie.

    • BLOWN AWAY!
    • Interesting. When i first heard about this I thought it would either be fucking fantastic or quite bad (but certainly not mediocre) , now having watched the trailer I am still undecided. It looks more like lynch subject matter and I dont really see much of herzog coming through in the trailer but I will be excited to see the finished product.
    • Looks great, Herzog is amazingggggg.
