Trailer for SUCKER PUNCH hits
Coming out of this year’s Comic-Con, very few films garnered as much buzz as Zack Snyder’s upcoming mind trip of a WWI period action film/thriller/whatever-the-hell-this-thing-is, called SUCKER PUNCH.
While most journos weren’t really able to describe what they had seen, at least not without sounding like a man thrust within the mind of a fever dream-ridden, criminally insane filmmaker, the general buzz behind the footage shown was very positive. Well, now we have our first trailer for the hotly anticipated film, and I have to say, I see why people were having a tough time describing the film, but I also see why they came out adoring the footage.
Hit the jump for the trailer.
Personally, I think this trailer isn’t perfect. I’m not the biggest fan of the music used in the trailer, which is something I think Snyder has had a problem with throughout his career, minus WATCHMEN (or at least most of WATCHMEN). The trailer looks visually striking and on a level I don’t think we’ve quite seen from the young wunderkind, and while we don’t see much in the way of performances, this is going to be a visual feast of arresting proportions. The action looks fantastic, both visually and direction-wise, so overall, while this is a very early teaser, this definitely whets the appetite for anyone looking forward to this film, as I hope many of you are now.
