    CRAZY ON THE OUTSIDE

Well, at least it’s not WILD HOGS. It may not be far off, though. The film in question here is CRAZY ON THE OUTSIDE, the directorial debut from funny man Tim Allen. That is unless you count “Loose Lips and Freudian Slips,” the episode of HOME IMPROVEMENT Tim directed back in 1999.

I digress. CRAZY ON THE OUTSIDE stars Allen as a man fresh out of a three year stint in lock-up, as he is reintroduced to the outside world. He’s also reintroduced to his family life and women troubles, making him wonder if things were greener behind bars. This marks the first feature for TV writing duo Judd Pilot and John Peaslee. The film also has a pretty impressive cast which includes the likes of Sigourney Weaver, Ray Liotta, J.K. Simmons, Julie Bowen, Kelsey Grammer, and Jeanne Tripplehorn. Unfortunately, that’s the only impressive thing it has going for it.

You can check out the trailer HERE on Apple Trailers.

Oh and speaking of WILD HOGS, it appears as if WILD HOGS 2: BACHELOR RIDE is currently in pre-production and due sometime in 2011. Hopefully, the Myans got it wrong and we’re a year off on that whole end of the world thing. This fate would be better than having to live in a world where not one but two of these films exist.

trailer could be better but looks cute. it's def no galaxy quest but looks better than for richer or poorer or kranks. at best a light small comedy like drowning mona... at worst... well... for richer or poorer and kranks
    • I feel like what we have here is the classic case of the indie comedy mismarketed as the "quirky, light-hearted comedy."

While I do have a soft spot in my heart for Allen's early work like the aforementioned GALAXY QUEST and of course HOME IMPROVEMENT, I think the guy needs to stray away from stuff like WILD HOGS. I'd love to see him do something dark like Robin Williams did this past year with WORLD'S GREATEST DAD.

I agree with you. Cute enough but not something I plan on seeing unless I catch it on TV one day.
