TRON LEGACY has gotten a release date, the 3D sequel to TRON will be coming out on December 17th 2010 This means that TRON LEGACY will be taking on Seth Rogen and THE GREEN HORNET, as both films now share the same release date. It will be interesting to see which film the public say yes more to during next Christmas holiday.

Also, along with letting TRON fans out there know when they can see the 3D sequel to their beloved TRON, this release date news also caused Chase and I to realize we share a shameful secret, which is we have never seen the original TRON. I know, it’s disgusting, but we have decided we are going to fix this disgrace and watch TRON as soon as possible, and then once again be worthy of your love, GATW readers.

    • Ack, my mistake just realized... I meant the TRON 20th Anniversary edition... apologies.

edited: And just realized I could've edited my previous post. doh! Man, where's my automatic text correcting program? Probably hacking it up in the disc arena. :p
    • No that's OK! We messed up on the release date, when the post was about the release date. :P

We're humans being human! Will see TRON this weekend!
    • My friends, you are missing out in not having seen the original TRON. I highly recommend getting the 25th Anniversary edition, there's a lot of decent extras. TRON also was pretty interesting in its snapshot of how computers were used at the time. And the imaginings of the 'virtual world' are pretty interesting when you compare the modern virtual space found in many online areas.
    • I didnt even know there was a Green Hornet movie to begin with...
    • yep! Comin' out right before Christmas. Michel Gondry directin' - Seth Rogen actin
    • 2010, not 2009! oh my
    • Thanks for catchin' that Flynn! Just goes to show we ain't perfect! :P
    • Tron was great, and I hope the sequel can hold up, but I somehow doubt it will.

I thought The Green Hornet was put on hold, have they even started filming? How could it possibly be ready by December?

Either way, fuck The Green Hornet.
    • I feel awful for getting your hopes up, and somehow writing the wrong year. Please forgive me. I promise this will not happen again
    • I can't wait for this movie. P.S. You need to watch the original ASAP. I probably watch it once or twice a year.
