Vincent Cassel and Winona Ryder join Aronofsky’s BLACK SWAN
Our pal Pete over at /Film got himself some insider’s information pertaining to director Darren Aronofky’s (THE WRESTLER) next film BLACK SWAN, a supernatural thriller starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. The film, set in a New York City ballet company, revolves around a dancer (Portman) who sees apparitions of another dancer (Kunis) that is either a figment of her imagination or an actual ghost.
Well, you can add a few more names to that already impressive cast list. It is being said that Winona Ryder (THE INFORMERS) will star as Portman’s friend, a star dancer approaching the end of her career. Vincent Cassel (EASTERN PROMISES) is said to play the director of the company’s next production: Swan Lake. Barbara Hershey (THE LAST TEMPTATION OF CHRIST) has also supposedly been added to the cast list, playing Portman’s mother.
Oh, Winona. You do love to star in films with dancing ghosts. And I will always love you for that.
