Visually impressive trailer for THE CUP OF TEARS
I, like seemingly everybody else, did not know about THE CUP OF TEARS, a surreal samurai film with rich visuals that is likely to remind everybody of SIN CITY, at least as far as looks go. Also, the music used in the trailer is reminiscent of SIN CITY as well, although I’m not sure if it is actually a part of the film’s score or not.
THE CUP OF TEARS is the feature directorial debut of Gary Shore, who apparently is an effects whiz (after seeing the trailer, I can definitely believe that), and has also worked directing commercials.
THE CUP OF TEARS trailer certainly ranks high on style points, but the big question is – will the film itself have enough of a story to keep things from eventually getting stale? Style is nice, but it can get old easily, if that is all there is. Check out the trailer after the jump.
