Warner Bros. lets you upgrade select DVDs for Blu-ray discs
This has to be one of the more clever ideas I’ve read about for getting people to upgrade their movie collection. Lets face it, most of us would absolutely love to have the latest and greatest in technology, but that requires money and lots of it. Some Blu-ray titles can cost 10 dollars or more than their DVD counterparts, which might not be a big deal when you’re buying new, but you definitely feel the pinch if you’re upgrading your collection.
Warner Bros. may have found a solution to the problem. Today they’ve started a program to let people upgrade their old DVDs for brand new Blu-ray discs for a discounted price! As the above picture indicates, the process requires you to go to their website, DVD2Blu, to select the movies you want to trade, then mail them off and receive Blu-ray discs about four weeks later.
If you’ve been putting this off for a while now, I think this is a great opportunity to get a good discount on a some great technology. Read on to see a full list of the titles currently being offered. More are sure to be added later on, so keep an eye on their website.
