Steve Carell is a hot commodity in Hollywood these days. Aside from starring in “The Office,” one of the funniest comedies on television, he’s got the upcoming comedy DATE NIGHT, alongside Tina Fey, as well as DESPICABLE ME, DINNER FOR SCHMUCKS, and the newly announced MAIL-ORDER GROOM. You would think that the guy has no time for anything else! Well, you’d be wrong.

Warner Bros. has paid a pretty penny for a script from Dan Fogelman (CARS, BOLT), which he wrote specifically with Carell in mind. The project remains untitled and the only details we know at this point is that “the script has a tone comparable to LOVE, ACTUALLY and Carell will play a father whose life unravels while he deals with a marital crisis and tries to manage his relationship with his children.”

I guess with all these movies going on at once, there is a chance of overexposure and it’s possible that the quality of “The Office” has suffered a bit from it, but I still love me some Steve Carell. Any excuse for him to make me laugh, I will take. We’ll keep you up to date as more details are revealed about this new project.
