Watch Steve Carell and Tina Fey in the DATE NIGHT trailer
DATE NIGHT stars Steve Carell and Tina Fey as a standard boring married couple that, through a misunderstanding, find themselves hunted by two crooked cops determined to kill them in what appears to be an action (possibly) comedy (definitely).
The awesomeness of the cast does not stop with Carell and Fey though, as Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Common, and Mila Kunis all pop up in the film’s trailer. And, according to the fabulous tool IMDb, Kristen Wiig, Mark Ruffalo, and Taraji P. Henson also play parts in DATE NIGHT.

The cast for DATE NIGHT is beyond solid, but there is a bit of a red flag attached to the film with Shawn Levy directing. He’s the man who directed both NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM films, as well as THE PINK PANTHER, JUST MARRIED, and CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN. Not a very strong resume. However, with this cast and a pretty funny trailer, I would not be surprised if DATE NIGHT turned out to be Levy’s best film (obvious “that would not be hard” joke kind of avoided).
