Wes Anderson writes My Best Friend
He’s not done yet with THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX and already Wes Anderson is looking for new projects, the latest of which will be writing a remake of the 2006 French film MY BEST FRIEND. The plot seems comical and right up Anderson’s alley. In the movie, an unlikable man with no friends (I’m thinking Bill Murray) enlists the help of a taxi driver (I’m thinking a Wilson brother) to pretend to be his best friend in order to win a bet. Of course, at this point Anderson is only writing the script, not directing, so the casting might turn out to be very different. But this is a Wes Anderson project, so we’ll be keeping an eye on it!
