  • WILD HOGS 2: BACHELOR RIDE crashes and burns

    WILD HOGS

Mickey Mouse must be pissed about something, first he canceled 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA, then he canned WEDDING BANNED. Now, it looks like the completely unnecessary WILD HOGS 2: BACHELOR RIDE has put its leather garb away, and hopefully for good.

The original was the story of four old idiots who went on a stupid motorcycle trip to make Tim Allen's character feel better about his stupid divorce (sorry, I'm bitter). The sequel, which was in the scripting stage, was hiring new writers to revise the script. Discussions were also ongoing to bring back the four principal actors (John Travolta, Tim Allen, Martin Lawrence, and William H. Macy), but were stopped after the cancellation.

I can't explain how much I hated the original (you could probably tell), and wouldn't even considering paying to see a second one. However, I am surprised this movie was canceled. The first one was a giant success, and I did talk to a lot of people who liked it. We'll see if they try to revive the series later, but for now, sayonara.

You're a lazy fat idiot! The original grossed $253,000,000 worldwide….I guess a few people disagreed with you!

I say in the final paragraph that the film was a giant success and that I talked to many people who liked it, but that doesn't mean I have to like the film or the idea of a sequel for that matter. Critically though, most agreed with me. The film has 14% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I still think this film will happen eventually, it just isn't happening right now. The house of mouse likes their money, and a sequel would most likely give them just that.
