WOMEN IN TROUBLE trailer
The first official trailer for WOMEN IN TROUBLE is here. I was excited about this movie before watching this trailer, but now I am rethinking that position. It features a bunch of half-naked bottle blondes making poor decisions, then whining about them, and if I wanted to see that I could walk down to any of the bars near the local university campus. I am most interested to see how the film juggles the stories of 8 women. What the trailer does promise is a bit of over-the-top drama and camp. I’m just hoping it is more in the style of Almodovar and less Lifetime movie.
The synopsis:
A pregnant porn star, a couple of call girls, a scorned psychiatrist, a teenage goth, a flight attendant with a crush on a famous passenger…the troubles of this cluster of LA women couldn’t be more different, but on one crazy day feminine compassion will alter all of their lives. Devilish humor, razor-sharp scripting, and a knockout ensemble of talented actresses (including Carla Gugino, Connie Britton, and Marley Shelton) turn trouble into pure pleasure.

The film is written and directed by Sebastian Gutierrez, who wrote the scripts for THE EYE and SNAKES ON A PLANE. WOMEN IN TROUBLE is scheduled to hit theaters on November 13th, in limited release.
