WTF: Lars Von Trier selling his mobile home on eBay

Are you a fan of Lars Von Trier? You have at least $150,000 just laying around? If so, you may have found the perfect purchase.

Lars Von Trier is not a man without fear.  The director’s biggest fear, or at least his most talked about one, is that he’s deathly afraid of airtravel.  The director has never made it to the US because of this fear, and has spent much of his time traveling in a 1992 Dethleffs Advange, a mobile home that he’s been known to drive around.

Well, thanks to The Playlist, we now know that he’s apparently putting the camper up for sale on eBay.  The description states that the camper is “considered an integral of the VIP-parking at Cannes Film Festival,” and has hosted “several meetings between some of the greatest personalities in the history of film.” Apparently the camper smells of diesel fuel, as it’s been “poured over the floor several times.”

The bidding starts at $54,415, with one able to skip bidding and buy it for $150,000, so hey, if you have some money out there, here’s an odd, but awesome, way to spend the cash.
