• Zoolander back on the runway?

ZOOLANDER was and still is one of the funniest movies of all time in my book. Unfortunately it didn’t do quite as good as it should have when it was released back in 2001. Maybe it was the fact that the film released a couple of weeks after the tragedies of 9/11 and the country wasn’t ready to laugh. Regardless, the comedic genius Ben Stiller still feels the model movie has some real potential. This is why Stiller has been searching tirelessly for the right script to jump on board with.

“I’ve been trying to get Zoolander 2 together and we’ve had a few scripts. I feel that is the sequel I really would like to do some day because I like the original and I would make sure it was something new and worthy of it first.”

Obviously Ben Stiller really cares about this sequel and doesn’t want to just come out with a piece of crap. Can I get an “Amen!” I do think this would be a great time to bring back the ZOOLANDER gang that included Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Will Farrell. Just look at the success of television shows like AMERICAS NEXT TOP MODEL and PROJECT RUNWAY. Not to mention the fact that Stiller’s last mock movie, TROPIC THUNDER, did quite well. So what do you readers think, would there be a real fan base for a ZOOLANDER sequel? Would you fork out the cash to see it theaters? I know my wife and I will be there opening day!
