A GOOD OLD FASHIONED ORGY coming to a theater near you
Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions and Samuel Goldwyn Films have picked up A GOOD OLD FASHIONED ORGY for U.S. distribution. The ensemble comedy, starring Jason Sudeikis, Leslie Bibb, Will Forte, Martin Starr, Nick Kroll, and more, wrapped production in 2008, but has been in distribution limbo since, possibly because of its risqué title and subject matter.
The film follows a group of 30-somethings who refuse to grow up, partying hard every weekend in summer at Eric’s (Sudeikis) family home in the Hamptons. Eric’s dad decides to force them to mature by selling the house, causing the group to plan their most epic summer so they go out with a bang. After countless theme parties, they decide the best way to close out their reign is with A GOOD OLD FASHIONED ORGY.
I caught a test screening of this a few months back and absolute loved it. Hilarious, raunchy, but with friendship and heart at its core – I’m glad it’ll finally see the light of day. Sony and Goldwyn are tentatively looking at a late summer release.
