Abigail Spencer saddles up for COWBOYS & ALIENS
Jon Favreau’s big screen adaptation of the sci-fi western graphic novel Cowboys & Aliens has lassoed quite the impressive cast with the likes of Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Sam Rockwell, Paul Dano, Olivia Wilde, and Noah Ringer starring. Add one more buckaroo to that impressive list, as Abigail Spencer (Don Draper’s mistress on Mad Men) has joined the cast, making the film her studio feature debut. Pretty good start, if you ask me.
Favreau is directing a script by a few members of J.J. Abrams’ posse, including LOST’s Damon Lindelof, Alex Kurtzman, and Roberto Orci. IRON MAN scribes Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus also aided in the adaptation. See a fun fact after the break!
Lindelof co-wrote one episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, the popular TV show which just had its own big screen – and already extremely unpopular – adaptation released starring none other than Noah Ringer as the titular Airbender. In reading this, you’ve just had 100 times more fun than you would in actually watching THE LAST AIRBENDER.
