ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER lands Mary Elizabeth Winstead
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news today that that Mary Elizabeth Winstead, known for playing the fair Ramona Flowers in last year's SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD, will star in the anticipated ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. She'll play Mary Todd, wife to the 18th president of the United States.
While Latino Review reported that Robin McLeavy had nabbed the role earlier this week, it appears those reports may have been premature. The two ladies were the frontrunners for the role, but THR is certain that role has landed squarely in Winston's lap.
She'll star opposite Benjamin Walker, who plays the vampire hunter in a top hat. Keep an eye on this guy, he could blow up after his role in this summer's X-MEN: FIRST CLASS.
Joaquin Phoenix and Anthony Mackie are reportedly set for roles in the project as well.
