Adam Sandler to be unfunny again in JACK AND JILL
If there is one actor in need of a career revival, it’s the talented dramatic actor/boring comedic thespian Adam Sandler.
Well, he’ll still be in need of it after this film.
According to The Playlist, Adam Sandler will star in the upcoming film, JACK AND JILL, a film in which he’ll be taking both roles. The film, directed by Dennis Dugan, who may have the worst filmography ever with films like GROWN UPS, YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN, and I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY on his resume.
The film will follow two twins, JACK AND JILL, in a high concept romantic comedy. That’s basically all we know about the film, and that’s all I need to know to skip this thing like the plague. Looking to hit theaters in 2011, I don’t quite understand why Sandler decides to do these films, instead of films like PUNCH DRUNK LOVE, which is still to this day his best performance. He’s such a strong actor that hearing him delve into these turgid comedies is a true shame. True shame.
