Still on the tips of everyone’s tongues after its shockingly good Super Bowl TV spot that premiered last night, apparently the buzz continues to build, as the music to Marvel’s upcoming film, CAPTATIN AMERICA, may have just gotten a bit of an overhaul.

Badass Digest is reporting that Alan Menken, Oscar nominated composer for the likes of THE LITTLE MERMAID, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, and ALADDIN, is involved in some way in the creation of original songs for the upcoming film.

Now, it’s no secret that the film’s plot sees our lead heading off to entertain the troops in a series of USO-style shows, but what is also known, is that the film has yet to get a composer. BD goes out of its way to state that Menken is not scoring the film, but don’t be shocked if he ultimately has a bit of a say in who does, and how it’s composed.

Personally, I love Menken as a songwriter, and I do really think that the idea of a superhero musical number could be really fun. I loved what I saw from the short Super Bowl TV spot, so at this point, I have the utmost faith in this project.
