Alec Baldwin

Back in 1990, director Woody Allen and actor Alec Baldwin teamed up for a rather brilliant final result, the hilarious comedy, ALICE. Starring Mia Farrow, the film has since gone relatively undiscussed when talking about the director’s filmography, but that has not stopped the pair from reteaming.

Twenty-one years later, Deadline is reporting that Baldwin has joined the cast of Allen’s upcoming film, set to take place in Rome. The outlet also reports that SOCIAL NETWORK star Jesse Eisenberg is “in line” for a role, which will put him across from the likes of both Baldwin and the only other known cast member, Penelope Cruz.

Now, while we don’t know much about the film as a whole, the cast is definitely shaping up to be quite interesting.  Baldwin’s delivery is utterly perfect for the world of Allen’s films, as is Eisenberg’s. Cruz’s energy gives his films a certain life that otherwise just isn’t there, so this could shape up to be a really fantastic film.
