2011 will prove to be quite the year for one Amanda Seyfried.

With the films RED RIDING HOOD and NOW set to bow this year, THR has revealed that the actress will join the thriller GONE, which has been picked up by Summit.

The film follows “a woman named Jill who returns home from her night shift to find her sister’s bed empty. She’s convinced the serial killer who kidnapped her two years before has come back to finish the job. But the police do not believe her and Jill knows time is running out. With no one to turn to, Jill sets off to find her sister and face her abductor once and for all.”

Set to be helmed by Heitor Dhalia, the film features a script from Allison Burnett, and while it doesn’t sound like a whole lot, the film does have a lot to look forward to. Dhalia is a relatively unknown filmmaker, which is always interesting, and Seyfried has proven to be a really fantastic actress. Hopefully, despite this weirdly boring logline, the film could really be an intriguing thriller.
