AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY trailer lands
Just the other day, we got a new U.S. poster for AMERICAN: THE BILL HICKS STORY, a really phenomenal documentary following the life of one of comedy's most iconic figures. It follows his ups and his downs, leading up to his untimely and unfortunate death of pancreatic cancer in 1994.
Now they have released a new trailer, you can check it out after the break.
The trailer gives a really good look at the tone and style of the film. It also showcases one of my favorite aspects of the film, the animated segments that were made from old photos of Bill. They use these throughout the film to show life events that weren't recorded.
I truly can't wait to see this film again, as it was last year's SXSW Film Festival when I last saw it. Bill Hicks deserves a memorial and remembrance like this. Hopefully, the film can also introduce a new generation to his phenomenal comedic skills.
What do you guys think of the trailer?
