ANCHORMAN 2 getting closer to happening
ANCHORMAN 2 sounds like a fantastic idea, but the comedic bunch that was wrestled together for the first film would be almost impossible to re-attain, right? Well, it looks like the old news gang getting together just might be more possible than I thought. According to Will Ferrell on a recent morning talk show:
"Everyone 'is meeting next week' to discuss the film. Ferrell joked that the meeting’s mainly to suss out whether or not Paul Rudd and Steve Carell are prepared to take pay cuts, because he sure isn’t. Either way, they're meeting next week to finalize everything."
Neat-o, gang! Looks like we might get another installment yet. I have been dying to see Carrell back into that "retarded" character. I might have never laughed so furiously in a theater before than I did in that classic news station back-alley brawl. So everyone keep your fingers crossed and hope the meeting goes well, because if this sequel isn't made, it will stink more than a turd covered in burnt hair!
