Andrea Riseborough joins WELCOME TO THE PUNCH
After turns in films like NEVER LET ME GO and MADE IN DAGENHAM, actress Andrea Riseborough may not be a household name yet, but it appears as though that will be changing over the foreseeable future.
The actress will next star in the upcoming Madonna feature, W.E., and according to Variety, she’s just garnered herself yet a brand new role. The outlet is reporting that she will star in the new film, WELCOME TO THE PUNCH, with James McAvoy and Mark Strong.
The film has been written and will be helmed by Eran Creevy, and will follow the story of a detective who must get back on the case of a criminal who has come back after a time out of the crime world. Riseborough’s role has yet to be revealed.
The film is set for a mid-July start, and with a top-tier cast like the one put together here, it should prove to be one of the more interesting projects coming down the pipeline. While it goes without saying that both McAvoy and Strong are fantastic actors, Riseborough is also a talented thespian, and one that should be able to hold her own, even against these two heavyweights.
