Angry Films options Cycler book series
Angry Films has optioned Lauren McLaughlin’s young-adult book series “Cycler.”
The series centers on Jill, a suburban teenager who becomes a boy for four days each month. Her male counterpart has all the male organs, if you know what I mean, as well as all the hormones and fantasies that go along with them. Jill has managed to maintain a normal teenage existence until “Jack, tired of being locked in his room, begins to escape, causing damage to her social life.”
Random House for Young Readers published the book and its sequel, “Re-Cycler” and there are plans for more titles in the series. McLaughlin, who was once an executive at Lionsgate, has already adapted her book into a screenplay.
Angry Films is looking for a director and financiers for this project.
