Anthony Head joins PERCY JACKSON & THE OLYMPIANS: THE SEA OF MONSTERS
The first PERCY JACKSON film came out back in 2010, and despite being a financial success, a sequel was not a guaranteed deal. Then, after quite some time, we finally got word that a sequel was going to be produced. After some recent additions to the cast, like Nathan Fillion, the sequel is starting to look pretty appealing.
The sequel has added another new actor to it's cast: Anthony Head (Buffy, REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA). Head will be portraying a centaur called Chiron.
For those of you who saw the first film, you might remember that the character Chiron was portrayed by Pierce Brosnan. We don't have any clue as to why Pierce is not returning, but Head is a welcome inclusion. He played the mentor Giles on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, so he should fit into the role realy well. Chiron is the trainer for the demigods in the film.
Although I was disappointed by the original film, I'm still excited to see what comes out of the sequel. I still like the concept of the series, I just found the execution of the original to be lackluster. Hopefully, with all the impressive casting choices they're working on, they can turn the series around.
