Anthony Hopkins in talks to fill the silhouette of Alfred Hitchcock
Good evening! Yesterday, we brought you word that an Alfred Hitchcock biopic was in the works with ANVIL documentary director Sacha Gervasi in talks to direct the film with a script by writer Stephen Rebello, based on his non-fiction book "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho."
Now THR is reporting that Sir Anthony Hopkins is in negotiations to play the Master of Suspense in a film that, like the book it's based on, recounts the iconic director's trials and tribulations in making the classic horror/thriller that made people afraid to go back into the water in their own homes.
Neither the director or the actor have officially signed on. I'm not sold on the idea of Gervasi as the director but I'm totally sold on the idea of Hopkins playing the director!
