Ari Graynor joins David Gordon Green’s THE SITTER
Ari Graynor's performance in NICK & NORA'S INFINITE PLAYLIST was one of the most enjoyable aspects of that film for me. She was fully committed to her ridiculous role and it really paid off for her in a big way. News of her teaming up with the likes of David Gordon Green and Jonah Hill for THE SITTER are all the more exciting now. It's no surprise that we here at G and the W are big fans of DGG, so our ears perk up at any mention of his projects. The film is on schedule to shoot this fall after Hill finishes MONEYBALL.
The film is a babysitting comedy in the vein of ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING, written by Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka. This sounds perfect for wacky Ari Graynor. Hill stars a a college dropout who takes a job babysitting the kids who live next door to his mother. He is unprepared for the insanity that ensues, involving drug dealers, car chases, police chases, and all kinds of other things on the wrong side of the law.
Graynor will play Hill's girlfriend, who gets him into some of the trouble by having him go on a coke run for her while he is on the job. Sounds like a treat!
I can't wait to see who they cast in the role of Hill's wards for this evening. I always love smart-alecky kid roles- reminds me of myself as a young one.
THE SITTER is already scheduled for a July 15, 2011 release with 20th Century Fox.
