With three separate adaptations of Snow White currently in some state of production, Relativity and director Tarsem just found themselves a male, and possible female, lead for their respective take, THE BROTHERS GRIMM: SNOW WHITE.

Deadline is reporting that not only has Armie Hammer joined the film, but that one Saoirse Ronan is currently in talks to take on the titular lead role. Hammer will play the role of Prince Andrew Alcott, Snow White’s romantic interest.

This is just one more step forward for the actor who, after his star-making turn in THE SOCIAL NETWORK, has become just that, a star. He’ll next be seen in Clint Eastwood’s J. EDGAR, and for those who may not remember, was not only tapped to play Bruce Wayne/Batman in the now-dead JUSTICE LEAGUE film, but he was also once a contender for the role of Superman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming MAN OF STEEL film.

Both Hammer and Ronan are really interesting additions to the film, which not only boasts a fantastic director in Tarsem at the helm, but also Julia Roberts as the film’s primary villain, making this quite a powerful combatant against both Michael Arndt’s SNOW AND THE SEVEN and Universal’s SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN. Personally, I think Tarsem’s involvement already makes this a must-see film, so this great cast is only making me waiting with even more anticipation.
