April 13th, 2012

It's almost that time of year again when the combined forces of Alamo Drafthouse and Dogfish Head Craft Brewery bring to life the  Off-Centered Film Fest in Austin, TX and this year we're giving you a chance to join in on the fun.

Now in its 5th year, the Off-Centered Film Fest has a Western theme for 2012 and kicks off with an outdoor screening of BLAZING SADDLES with Central Texas brewers on hand to present some of their rare beers on Thursday, April 19th. Other events during the fest include a ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST feast that pairs 6 courses of Italian cuisine with 8 rare Dogfish Head brews, a special screening of the WAINY DAYS web series, and a screening of the winners of the short film competition.

Special guests this year include Dogfish Head Founder and Head Brewer Sam Calagione, Director David Wain (WANDERLUST, WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER), Ken Marino (WANDERLUST, WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER), and Jo Lo Truglio (SUPERBAD, WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER). You can read about all the events with more fancy links to tickets over at the official website.

Gordon and the Whale has teamed up with the Alamo Drafthouse to give away two pairs of tickets to the OCFF: BLAZING SADDLES Quote-Along Rolling Roadshow Beer Party! The event is Thursday, 4/19 at Republic Square Park. Doors are at 6PM and the movie will start at sundown. All the rest of the interesting details (including an incredible list of beers available) can be found over at the event page.
