This contest has ended.

Gordon and the Whale and Warner Bros. invite our Austin readers to attend a free advance screening of their new film GREEN LANTERN, starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and Peter Sarsgaard.

The screening will take place on Wednesday, June 15th, 2011 at 7:30PM in Austin, Texas. To redeem passes, follow the link below. But you better act fast...the link is only good for so many passes so once they're gone, they're gone. Good luck, movie lovers!

These passes are first-come, first-serve and do not guarantee you seats. Due to the high demand of this film please arrive no later than two hours prior to showtime or there may not be any more seats available.

PLEASE ONLY ENTER IF YOU CAN SURELY ATTEND THE SCREENING. ONE ENTRY PER HOUSEHOLD. MUST BE AT LEAST 17 YEARS OF AGE TO ENTER. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

GREEN LANTERN flies into theaters Friday, June 17th, 2011.

    Jacinda,

I’m a little confused by your comment. Why would you think we would run a contest for passes only to not distribute them? Seems like it would damage our credibility a great deal with our readers who look forward to and participate in our advance screenings.

The simple explanation to your ”for some reason there are no passes left” is that GREEN LANTERN is one of this summer’s most anticipated movies and the passes went very quick considering there are a lot of people who want to see it (all the more reason to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and check the site frequently so that you can be one of those first people to get passes). This is why include disclaimers such as ”But you better act fast…the link is only good for so many passes so once they’re gone, they’re gone” which, if you read the contest copy, you will notice is stated right above the link.

To put it plainly, a lot of people did redeem passes and will be attending our advance screening of GREEN LANTERN in Austin which is proof of both why there are no passes left and that we did in fact distribute them.
