If you missed the new AVATAR trailer in theaters this past weekend, then you’re in luck. It has just hit the web and it’s a doozy! As the guys over at Film School Rejects point out, the marketing guys have done a poor job of selling the movie to us. The first trailer was little more than a bunch of pretty pictures and, even the 16 minute preview, although it was cool as hell, didn’t make me care for the characters.

This new full-length trailer clocks in at 3 minutes and 22 seconds and does what the previous two have not: it gives me a real reason to want to see the movie. Yeah, James Cameron has always been visual effects genius and maybe that’s the reason we first saw some of his movies, but the reason we’ve watched and re-watched them over and over has to do with his ability to craft compelling characters and stories. And, of course, some bad-ass action sequences, which the new trailer has plenty of. Watch it after the jump.

James Cameron has a perfect record in my book. No reason to think this one won't hit the mark as well :)
