BAD TEACHER hasn't hit theaters yet, but the director, Jake Kasdan, already has his next film in the works. According to an LA Times exclusive, Kasdan's next film will be FAMILY GETAWAY for Warner Bros.

The film is about a dysfunctional family that has to quickly go on the run after their Thanksgiving dinner is interrupted by assassins. The film is from an original script written by Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer, who are also writing THE BODYGUARD remake for Warner Bros.

Kasdan is the son of Larry Kasdan, who has written and directed THE BIG CHILL, BODY HEAT, and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. Kasdan himself is no stranger to big Hollywood comedies, having helmed both ORANGE COUNTY and WALK HARD: THE DEWEY COX STORY, as well as having directed quite a few episodes of  Freaks and Geeks.

BAD TEACHER  stars Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake, and Jason Segel and will hit theaters on June 24.
