We haven't gotten much from THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN, but maybe because they're taking their time to produce gorgeous things like the first poster for the film, which debuted over at Empire. If this poster gives us any clue, TINTIN will be filled with action, adventure, globe-trotting, pirate ships, sea planes, and puppies; all wrapped up nicely in that fantastic 1930s serial style. What, no unicorn secrets? Well, they seemed to have dropped that subtitle for the poster, but we'll have to wait till tomorrow when the trailer premieres to find out if it's out for good.

Not shaping up too bad for your first animated picture, Mr. Spielberg. Not bad at all. Granted, he did have a little help from his friends, including producer Peter Jackson, screenwriters Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright, Joe Cornish, the voice talents of Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, and of course film composer, and frequent collaborator, John Williams.

Check out the poster after the break and stay tuned, as we will surely bring you that trailer as soon as it hits tomorrow.

THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN hits theaters on December 23 of this year.
