Beautiful promotional posters for BLACK SWAN

It's a rare occasion that I can muster the enthusiasm to write about posters. Most of the time, there isn't anything special to them - it's just Hollywood marketing. However, this is a truly unique situation. For one, I haven't had near enough opportunity to write about BLACK SWAN as I would like. Second, these are some incredible posters.

Check them out, after the jump.

BLACK SWAN premiered to overwhelmingly positive reviews at the Toronto and Telluride Film Festivals. On Rotten Tomatoes, 17 out of 18 reviews are positive, which only serves to heighten my anticipation. Darren Aronofsky has yet to fail in my opinion, though he did make one of the most divisive films of all time - THE FOUNTAIN. I was in the "love it" camp, though many people despise that movie. Aronofsky could also be held responsible for the comeback of Mickey Rourke, whose commanding performance in THE WRESTLER heralded a slew of roles for the aged actor.

BLACK SWAN is without a doubt my most anticipated film of the year; well, what's left of it at least. These posters only serve to confirm that excitement.

You know, I thought I had reached a point where I could not be more excited for this film. I was sorely mistaken.
